Treatment & Services
What Treatment Looks Like
Initial Diagnostic Evaluation
A comprehensive intake to gather background, clarify diagnoses, and ensure a good clinical fit. This includes:
- 1-hour caregiver interview
- 1-hour client interview
- As clinically indicated, initial contact of pediatrician, school, psychiatrist, etc.
Ongoing Treatment
Treatment planning is tailored to the unique needs of your family. Treatment often starts with psychoeducation and then moves into skill building. Treatment generally involves weekly, 50-minute sessions, which can include both the client and their caregivers.
Annie will work with your family to collaboratively establish goals, treatment frequency, and treatment duration. Treatment and progress is regularly re-evaluated with an aim to work towards client and family being able to use what they learn in treatment long beyond their time in care.
Additional Services
Caregiver-Focused Support
In addition to the support integrated into all treatment, Annie offers dedicated training and coaching for parents and caregivers. This support has been found to be effective in addressing youth anxiety and OCD even if the youth is not willing or able to engage in treatment themselves.
Community & School Support
To support your child in all settings, Annie can coordinate with your child’s school and other providers. This can include initial consultation, training and ongoing coordination as needed. Annie also supports community and school-based exposure work, as clinically indicated.
Intensive & Semi-Intensive Treatment
Some families prefer an alternative to once-a-week treatment. If needed and clinically appropriate, Annie provides higher-frequency care for certain presenting issues, including OCD, selective mutism, specific phobias, and panic disorder.
